Terms of use
By using Path to Dentist you agree to these terms. The site is operated by xoCaliber Inc.
Estimates, not advice
Everything this site produces is an estimate generated from figures you enter and published federal rules. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, it is not a loan offer or a commitment to lend, and using it creates no advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and us.
Federal rules, interest rates, tax treatment and your own circumstances change. Confirm anything you intend to act on with your loan servicer, StudentAid.gov, your school's financial aid office, and a qualified professional. Decisions about borrowing, repaying, refinancing, filing status and employment are yours alone.
Who may use it
The site is intended for adults in the United States planning their own education debt, and for institutions under a written license. You may use it for personal planning, and professionals may use it with their own clients. You may not present its output as your own product, as a school's official guidance, or as advice from a licensed professional unless you are one.
Acceptable use
- Do not disrupt, overload, probe or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
- Do not scrape the site at scale, or republish its guides and written content as your own.
- Do not remove, obscure or alter any disclaimer, attribution or notice.
- Do not represent the site as affiliated with, or endorsed by, any university, lender, servicer or government agency.
- Do not use it to mislead anyone about what a loan or repayment plan will cost.
Accuracy and updates
We maintain the federal figures behind the calculator and review them as the Department of Education, the IRS and HHS publish new numbers, with the review date shown on results and on the methodology page. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time, and results may change as rules or the model are corrected.
Intellectual property
The site, its written guides and articles, its repayment engine, its design and its name are owned by xoCaliber Inc and protected by copyright and other laws. You get a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the site as offered. Institutional use, branding and redistribution require a separate written license agreement, which governs in case of any conflict with these terms.
If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, write to us with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we will investigate and remove infringing material promptly.
Third-party services and links
We link to government sites, school publications, lenders' information pages and other third parties for reference. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. The site also relies on third-party hosting, analytics, font and library providers, described in the privacy policy.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express, implied or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will match what a servicer, lender or tax authority ultimately calculates.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, xoCaliber Inc and its officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, savings, opportunity or data, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the site — including any decision about borrowing, repayment plans, refinancing, filing status or employment. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
If you use the site in a way these terms prohibit, and that use causes a claim against us, you agree to defend and indemnify us against that claim, including reasonable legal costs.
Resolving problems
Most problems are solved by writing to partner@xocaliber.io, and we ask that you contact us first and give us 30 days to resolve a dispute informally. If that does not work, any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Governing law and general terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor in a merger or sale of the business. Together with the privacy policy, and any license agreement that applies to you, these are the entire agreement between us about the site.
Changes
We may update these terms, and the date below shows when they last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If a change is material, we will note it on this page.
